Koh Larn (Ko larn or Ko Lan)เกาะล้าน
Is a small Thai island off the coast of Pattaya, in the Gulf of Thailand, 7 kms from coast of Pattaya . and can only be reached by boat or speedboat. From Bali Hai Pier ferries to Koh Larn depart every hour from 7.00 A.M. to 6.30 P.M. daily. The crossing takes almost 40 minutes and costs only 30 baht and you don’t need booking. There are two different destinations (piers)on Koh larn, the Naban Pier and the Tawaen Beach. The speed boat price vary between 200-400 baht , and takes only 10 minutes. Its an island of hills covered with low tropical forest. A Buddhist shrine is located at its highest point, 180 metres above sea level. The island has two small villages, Ban Ko Lan and Ban Krok Makhan, where there are lodgings and restaurants. Ferries connect Ko Lan to the mainland.
Most of Ko Lan’s eight beaches are on its west side. Most visited is Tawaen Beach, where there is a small harbor. The beach is lined with small tourist shops and restaurants. Other beaches are Tonglang Beach, Tien Beach, Samae Beach, and Naon Beach.
